Steve's Comic Cleaning and Pressing is an Authorized Facilitator for CGC. Here are some FAQs as well as pricing:

If I am facilitating an event for CGC then you can get a witnessed signature for a yellow CGC label just like mailing into CGC for a signing event. I will typically have 1-3 CGC witnesses working through my booth for the show. Let us know you need a witness and they will come watch your book get signed. They will then bring you and your book back to the booth where I will take possession of the book. We will complete paperwork as needed and close your order when all books are ready for submission. A customer will be billed via PayPal invoicing prior to sending to CGC. The books will not be shipped until payment is received.

Yes! As long as we are adding another signature to the book we are able to crack slabs with a yellow signature series label. We CANNOT crack a yellow label, press, and resubmit.
What items can I get witnessed signatures for?

We do witnessing for primarily comic books and magazines. We can do 8x10 photos signed at a booth. Please note these are a different witnessing process and the photo will be essentially laminated and have the yellow label laminated with it. There will not be a grade for a signed photo.

The new signature can be witnessed. The signature already on the book will need to go through JSA Services for signature verification. Using Steve's account it is $20 for signature verification. Full price for verification through JSA is $25.

Yes!! However, we will have to take into account the ink/material used for the signature and adjust accordingly. For example, we can press pen or sharpie at regular temperatures. Books signed with paint pen will use lower heat and less pressure to preserve the signature, but it may not get out all of the defects if the book was not signed.

The standard is to press the books AFTER the signing. However, if you want your book to move quickly after the signing we can press it before the signing and send it to CGC.

CGC Grading - $40 per modern book (1975 to present) and $50 per vintage book (1974 and later) under Steve's account (costs are same for magazines)
Witnessing Fee - $5.00 per book per signature for comic creator, $10.00 per book per signature for celebrities
Shipping to CGC - Included in Costs
Shipping from CGC - CGC's rates - typically $30-35 for the first 5 books

A PayPal invoice will be sent to the customer. You do not need a PayPal account to pay the invoice.

Books that are not being cleaned and pressed will be mailed to CGC within 72 hours of the end of the event. Books needing to be cleaned and pressed must be sent to CGC within 30 days of the end of the event. Then it is the turnaround time from CGC. A safe time period is to plan for 3-5 weeks plus CGC's turnaround time.
